Corwin :
Corwin is 21. He is president, coach, selector and beater. He studied sciences in High School and is now in the second year of his sport degree. He has pkayed two different sports in club : karate and badminton. Quidditch immediately appeared to him as a fun and interesting sport. Next to all the other sports he ever did in his life , quidditch brings to him some kind of extra special dimension. Corwin strongly believes that this activity has a promising future.

Eric :
Éric Lachard is 21 and he is a keeper. He has been practising quidditch since 2012. He did scientific preparatory classes and now studies at the engineering school of ENSAIT. Just as many of his team mates, Eric has strongly been influenced by the Harry Potter saga. His attention was caught the day someone mentioned quidditch to him and he went to see what the sport was really like. He immediately became enchanted. As a sport lover, he appreciates this blend of rugby, handball and dodge ball. The fact that there are many different positions and the rules allows to have a very rich game. But it is only thanks to this particular spirit and mood one only find on a quidditch pitch, that he truly became addicted.

Boris :
Boris Martin is 22, he is a chaser and is in his first year of a master degree in sports. He has always played different kind of sports and lately specialized in high level high jump. Boris first heard about quidditch thanks to Corwin in 2012. He immediately threw himself into this activity and trained the first French team which won silver at the first Quidditch Summer Games in 2012.

Gabriel :
Gabriel is 21 and he is a chaser. He studies in biomedical research and is in his third year degree. He has been playing quidditch since 2012, when Corwin told him about the sport. Always interested in discovering new things, Gabriel decided he would try playing quidditch. Completely seduced by this sport, he now thanks Corwin for introducing him to it. It is a new sport, that allows to meet new people and make new experiences.

Laetitia :
Laetitia is 23 and she is a beater. In the everyday life, she is osteopath and specialized in sports : she cares for her teammates' wounds (and also her adversaries', as it has happened during the European qualifications of 2012!) . She lives in Toulon in the South of France along with Boris, the team's captain. And together, they try to develop quidditch there too.

Sylvain :
Sylvain Godin is 22 and he is a beater. He is doing a master degree in ecology at the UPCM. Apart from quidditch, he doesn't play any other sport regularly. But as he is a camp counselor, he often plays team sports. He discovered about quidditch by watching a TV report and wanted to try it. A friend of his told him about the Paris Phenix Team. He immediately felt in love with the sport because it appeared to him as a complete sport : that is because the players have to pay attention to everything that happens on the field, even what happens without any ball is essential to the game, and also because there are so many different positions. He also likes the fact that quidditch is a mixed sport, because that makes it unique.

Amelie :
Amelie is 21, she loves languages, linguistics and computer sciences but she is first and foremost a Harry Potter fan. She is a lot active in the fandom. For example, she runs a website where she translates wrock songs into French. Her website belongs to the French Potter Network (RPF) and along with many other website, she works on different Harry Potter related things. She discovered quidditch years ago watching videos on youtube and hoped the sport would be played in France one day. Then back in June 2011, along with two awesome friends, she started a team in the South of France, in the city of Toulouse where she is from.
But this year, she came to Paris for her studies.She is thus now part of the Phenix, and she plays chaser with the number 9. |
Alexandre :
Alexandre is 26 and he is a chaser. He studied in the field of the restaurant industry and lives in a fantasy world where he met Mr.Potter. He has been a Harry Potter fan for a very long time, and this is what brought him to quidditch. He loves the sport because it allows him to bring a little magic in the real world. His dream is to fly for real. Back in the summer of 2012 Alexandre played in the French team who won silver at the Summer Games.

Mathilde :
Mathilde play both beater an chaser. She also played at the Oxford Summer Games.
She studied laws at the university of Lille (North of France) and then Nanterre (around Paris), but she is currently working as a salesperson. She is first and foremost a Harry Potter fan and this is what led her to quidditch. |
Pamela :

Pamela studies biology at the UPCM school (Paris 6). She has done horse riding for a long time and even tried other activities such as volley ball, canicross, dansing, theatre...
Beside her liking sports, she is also a fan of fantasy in movies, books or video games. And this is how she fell for the Harry Potter saga. After coming back from the Harry Potter theme parc with stars in her eyes, she heard about muggle quidditch. She immediately urge to have a go at it. The sport itself and the good mood within the team then made her comfortable. She now wants to be one of those who are going to ring the sport to its climax. |
Michel :
Michel is 20 and studies History at the Paris 1 university. He loves the geek culture and particularly Harry Potter. So he naturally decided he wanted to try quidditch the day he found out about it in an article of Le Monde, a French newspaper. He immediately got hooked by the sport and he hopes to become one of those who will allow it to become a sport of common knowledge such as football or tennis.

Juliette
Juliette, Kelly or Ozzy is a translator and/or horseback riding instructor who lives in Disneyland. A huge Potterhead, she was Lord Voldemort, Ron Weasley and Lucius Malfoy in French reenactments of the Starkid musicals and experimented Quidditch on horseback before joining the Phenix team, thinking she would never run further than fifteen yards. But since her broomstick does all the flying for her, she is still chasing the Quaffle.

Gwendoline
Gwendoline, akka Pixie on the pitch, studies potions at the Paris 7 university. She is a proud hufflepuff.
She has heard about Paris Phenix during World Cup VI reading articles. And it is only in September that she decided to go and meet them for a practice. She immediately got hooked on the sport. She started as a chaser but then tried to play beater, which she likes a lot. And today, she is very happy to be able to say "No sorry I can't. On saturday mornings, I have quidditch practice!" |
Valentin
Born 1992, Valentin studies a master degree in sports in order to become a teacher. He has always loved sports and tried many : handball, swimming, athletics, basketball, American football.
It is when a friend of his told him about a quidditch community in his former university that Valentin found out about our sport. He then discovered the Paris Phenix Team on Google. His first experience in quidditch came with the Geek Faeries 4.1 on october 2013 (a French geek convention that happened online). Everything made him willing to go on with quidditch : the good mood, the fact that quidditch gathered many sports such as handball, rugby, dodgeball... And ever since, Valentin has not stopped waiting frantically for each of our saturday morning practice. And he played his first competition in Brussels on November 23 2013, where he is proud to have scored a goal jumping through the hoop. Valentin plays chaser. |
